I Am Her Mother, She Is My Daughter

Myka Pearl surprises us everyday.

One evening, when we came home from work, we were so amazed to have heard her call me "Mother", her papi, "Father" and Nanay, "Grandma". What a change in namecalls. She wanted me to call her "Daughter" too; Although "Baby" was acceptable. She would correct me if I call her darling, sweetheart, honey, coconut or by any other name. She would even teach me how to pronounce correctly if I would tease her with mispronunciations.

But one hasn't changed. She has always addressed Baby Kismet Ax as "Baby" or "Sister". For this reason, everyone calls Baby Ax, "Sister" from the day she came home.

I would like to mention that the first word Myka had spoken when she first met her sister was "Cute".

Myka Pearl Said, "Thank You My Dear"

Last night, I was watching Myka Pearl who I was calling lately, Baby Sweetheart. She was choosing the VCD she would want to watch. She was asking help from her Ate Niña, so help was given.

Niña extended her the VCDs as she was looking at each cases she received. After several hand-overs, my baby sweetheart said, "Thank you my dear."

I was surprised to have heard her said that. I knew that she would always say her "thank you " and "you're welcome" whenever favor is given but she would have said without "my dear". I never called anyone at home "my dear". What a sweet little girl I have.

Can't Figure Out Until...

From the moment I tried blogging, I have been more concerned of certain themes . I could not really think of what write-ups may fit my blog titles until one day I caught myself unaware of getting focused on wine and food in my Friendster Blog. That was when I changed my title from the simplistic name MYLAJ to the new word, UMAMI.

In Umami, I enjoy posting anything but food and drinks. Some were done original but others were just pictures of delectable food and drink, and some were just copy-and-paste articles from other websites. I just made sure that I informed the readers where the pasted articles were sourced.

In my two other blog titles however-this Small Prints and My Lateral Journeys of the Soul, I find them very legalistic and philosophical that I could not write just about anything. The titles seem so intricate that I could not just write any chitchats. Sigh.

What would I write? For several days, I stared blank on my pages. And yesterday, I did something at last. Excited? I just changed the title from My Lateral Journeys of the Soul to Slip of a Keyboard. Nothing more. Up to this time, the keyboard has not slipped yet.

But there is good thing about the Small Prints. I thought, why would I focus on the title? Think brain, squeeze up. hmm. Why would I not write about the little punchlines of my babies as they are growing, exploring, learning and surprising me. After all, these cuties are leaving small prints in my heart.
